The Duke CCBVP involves investigators
from the School of Medicine, the Nicholas School of the Environment, the Law School,
and Trinity College of Arts and Sciences. The Center
includes an Administrative Core, three Research Cores
(neurobiology and neurodevelopmental disease, pulmonary
biology and disease, and environmental health policy),
four Facility Cores (DNA microarray, proteomics, inhalational
toxicology, and advanced computational technologies),
and a Community Outreach and Education Program. The
Center builds on established strengths in environmental
health, toxicology, genetics/genomics, bioinformatics,
spatial analytics, and environmental policy and ethics.
The Duke CCBVP capitalizes on substantial ongoing commitments
by Duke University to develop strong research programs
in environmental health.
