Since July, Gendell Associate Professor of Energy and Environmental Economics Richard G. Newell, has had several new committee and board appointments: Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (AERE), advisory board; Princeton Carbon Mitigation Initiative, Advisory Board; American Physical Society Committee on Energy Efficiency, member; National Academy of Sciences Advisory Board, Committee on Energy Efficiency Standards, member; Study on the Energy Efficiency Potential of the Appalachian Region, advisory board member.
