From Research Drive

  • If you are visiting without an appointment or parking pass: Metered visitor parking lots are located on Science Drive in the Bryan Center Visitor Parking Lot and the Science Drive Visitor Parking Lot. To get to these parking lots, follow Research Drive until it dead ends into a stoplight. At the stoplight, turn right onto Science Drive. The Bryan Center Visitor Parking Lot will be on the left about a quarter mile up the road. The Science Drive Visitor Parking Lot is farther down on the left, just past the stoplight at the intersection of Science Drive and Towerview Drive. After parking, you should walk back towards the LSRC. Follow the LSRC steps down the hill and veer to your left. You will enter through the A-wing. Take the first left, continue down the hallway, and turn right past Room A119. Dr. Miaranda's office (A134) will be at the end of the hallway, slightly to the left. Beware: the room numbers in the LSRC follow no logical ordering, so have faith in these directions!
  • If you have an appointment AND parking pass from Dr. Miranda: Turn into the third right off of Research Drive just after the North Building; this is the parking lot access road for the LSRC. Continue to the parking lot gate and press button #5 in the console at the gate to call the Nicholas School of the Environment and Earth Sciences administrative offices. Identify yourself to the person who answers and inform them that you are meeting with Dr. Marie Lynn Miranda. The person who answers will activate the gate to let you into the lot. Once in the parking lot, you can park in any spot NOT marked as "RESERVED." Make sure that you display your parking permit on the dashboard of your vehicle. If you have any problems just let Dr. Miranda know once you enter the building. When you get out of your car you will be facing the rear façade of the LSRC Building. Take the pathway near the handicapped parking spaces to a breezeway between the A and B wings on the building. Enter the Nicholas School through the 2nd door on the right into the A wing. Continue down the hallway and turn right past Room A119. Dr. Miaranda's office (A134) will be at the end of the hallway, slightly to the left. Beware: the room numbers in the LSRC follow no logical ordering, so have faith in these directions!
