The Commons - A student-run publication that serves as a forum designed to allow students interested in environmental issues to share their work with each other and the rest of the Duke community. The magazine exists to increse the visibility of and incite debate around issues of environmental ethics, science, and policy, with a focus on the local community and Duke University.

Environmental Alliance - An organization of students who have taken it upon ourselves to make this campus a more environmentally responsible community. Our goals are to improve recycling, reduce waste, raise awareness, and push to replace institutional practices that have proven to be detrimental with practices that are more sustainable to the biosphere. We strive to educate, thereby defeating apathy. We strive to organize, thereby defeating complacency. Our hope is for Duke University to become a model for environmental responsibility for campuses around the nation, and indeed, for institutions around the world.

Project Wild - Project WILD (Wilderness Initiatives for Learning at Duke) is a completely student-run organization dedicated to providing incoming freshmen and campus organizations with opportunities for experiential education in an outdoor setting. The goal of our August orientation program is for incoming freshmen to experience personal growth and gain self confidence in a safe and challenging wilderness environment. In the spring, Project WILD offers a house course on experiential education which includes an eight-day backpacking trip over Spring Break. We also manage a High Ropes course and a Team Challenge course which campus organizations and the Durham community use to gain a greater awareness of group dynamics and to build group cohesiveness.
