Aaron
Jenkins
Aaron Jenkins joined the Nicholas Institute as an Associate
in Research for Economic Analysis in February 2007. His work
focuses on two projects involving the economic valuation of
ecosystem services. One assesses the environmental benefits
of restored wetland forests in the Lower Mississippi Alluvial
Valley and the other concerns the development of tools for joint
production of ecosystem services in North Carolina. Aaron served
as an intern to the Natural Capital Project in 2006 and conducted
a meta-analysis of economic valuation studies of drinking water
quality in that capacity. In January 2007, he completed Master’s
degrees in Agricultural & Applied Economics and in Conservation
Biology & Sustainable Development at the University of
Wisconsin-Madison. His thesis work was a contingent valuation
study examining the economic impacts of chronic wasting disease
(CWD) in Wisconsin.
