"Understanding Acoustic Impacts on Marine Mammals"

A panel of top marine science and policy experts from Duke University, NOAA, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, the National Marine Fisheries Service and Florida State University will discuss the impact of sonar and other human noise on marine mammals. The event is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by NOAA, the Nicholas School and the Nicholas Institute.
A second panel discussion is planned for Tuesday, April 25 at 12:30 p.m. in the Duke University Marine Lab Auditorium in Beaufort, N.C.
