Research Interests:

  • Climate Change andCoastal/Ocean Management

Education:

  • JD, (in progress), Stanford Law School
  • MEM, Duke University
  • B.S., Biology, Duke University.

Bio: My primary research interest is in looking at how institutions are designed to deal with the new challenges posed by climate change.  I am currently working with faculty at DUML and Stanford Law School to examine coastal land management and the impacts of sea level rise in California, North Carolina, and Louisiana.

In addition to this research, I am pursuing a law degree at Stanford where I serve as the Editor in Chief of the Stanford Journal of Law Science and Policy and Article Review Board Chair for the Stanford Environmental Law Journal.  My non-dissertation related scholarship looks at a number of areas including the relationship between climate adaptation and development lending and regulatory issues surrounding clean coal technologies.

I am a third-generation and lifelong Dukie.  I obtained both my BS and my Masters here  and have been studying at the Marine Lab all the way through.
