Duke Deans To Discuss 'What Would You Do With $100 Million?"
January 29, 2008
DURHAM,
N.C. -- “What would you do with $100 million?” is the topic of
a discussion with Duke Chapel Dean Sam Wells and Nicholas School
of the Environment Dean William Chameides on Tuesday, Feb. 19,
at Duke University.
This Deans' Dialogue event takes place at Love Auditorium in
the Levine Science Research Center. The 5:15 p.m. discussion
is free and open to the public and will include time for audience
members to ask questions.
In these dialogues, Wells discusses topics surrounding how to
promote the common good with deans from various schools at Duke.
“The Deans' Dialogues provide critical space to speak about the
most important issue a university faces: How do we use our resources
to make the world a better place?” said series organizer Gaston
Warner, director of University and Community Relations. “On the
topic of the environment, we must face the issue of how to be
faithful stewards of the very world we are striving to improve.”
Past dialogues in this series have included discussions with
Divinity School Dean Greg Jones and Fuqua School of Business
Dean Blair Sheppard. Podcasts of these discussions are available
at Duke Chapel’s iTunes U page and the Chapel website: http://www.chapel.duke.edu/media/podcasts.aspx.
