Nicholas School Holds 2003 Recognition Ceremony
More than 83 master's and doctoral degree candidates and their families packed the Levine Science Research Center courtyard on Saturday, May 10, to recognize the students' graduation from the Nicholas School. Guest speaker Gilbert M. Grosvenor, chairman of the National Geographic Society's Board of Trustees in Washington, D.C., told the graduates that it will be up to them to answer the tough environmental questions about our dependence on fossil fuels and the depletion of our fresh water supplies. Emily Woglom, who was a joint REP/CEM student, won the Virlis Fischer Award for highest academic achievement.
