296. Environmental Conflict Resolution. Practical techniques and scholarly
underpinnings of environmental conflict resolution, including interest-based negotiation,
mediation, public disputes, science-intensive disputes, and negotiation analysis. In-class
time will be spent conducting negotiation role plays of increasing complexity and then debriefing
them. Outside of class, students will prepare for the role plays and read background material
to aid in debriefing. Students will keep a journal of their experiences. Instructor: Maguire.
