Environment General Courses (ENVIRON)

graduate level, taught in Beaufort

298.46. Green by Design. Implementing Environmental Sustainability. Theory and application of environmentally sustainable practices in settings including businesses, academic institutions, marinas, homes, and restaurants. Investigate energy production and consumption, resource conservation, environmental assessments, economic trade-offs and social responsibility. Includes excursions to local establishments and businesses to evaluate environmental impacts. Prerequisites: None for graduate students. Undergrads: Introductory Biology, Chemistry, and Environmental Science and Policy. Instructor: Rittschof and Staff. One course or 3 units.
